Bridge or virtual tunnel
Hello,
I am using slackware 11.0 it is set up as a chillispot server. I am new to this setup and trying to figure it out. I am finding that google is not very informative on this subject or I am just not asking the right question. I do a ifconfig and have 4 interfaces eth0, eht1, lo, and tun0. I relize now that chillispot is creating this virtual tunnel interface, but I am not really positve why. Is this actually a bridge or a virtual tunnel and are those two totally different things. Is there any command in slackware that would show me what tun0 is connected to, I think it is connected to eth1 because this is my inside card, and eth0 is my outside card. Can someone clear this up for me? Vadder:newbie: |
Try posting the output of "ifconfig -a -v". It is possible that your chillispot server is automatically creating an IPv6-over-IPv4 tunnel.
