Booting Slackware Install ISO from Grub2

I have the following entry in my 40_Custom file:

Quote:
menuentry "Slackware CD ISO" {
set isofile="/dave/slackware-13.1-install-dvd.iso"
loopback loop (hd0,2)$isofile
linux (loop)/kernels/huge.s/bzImage setkmap=us isoloop=$isofile load_ramdisk=1 prompt_ramdisk=0 rw SLACK_KERNEL=huge.s
initrd (loop)/isolinux/initrd.img
I get the errors:

Quote:
error: Cannot read Linux Header
error: You need to load the kernel first
The first error is obviously because the bzImage file is not the correct file, and the second error, undoubtedly because the initrd is being started without the kernel.

Can anyone suggest the correct syntax?

I don't think it's a matter of syntax.
The Bios comes along, decides what to boot, and points the cpu at the appropriate disk. It should from there pick up a kernel in an uncomplicated fashion. An iso image on a disk is not a disk. I think you need the kernel outside the image, and then you can have (in grubspeak)
kernel=kernel root=your_iso_image ro [fancy loopback options here] ]kernel options]
If you use lilo, alter accordingly. Your kernel will have to be filesystem happy and iso9660 happy with both modules compiled in.

If you're on a network, it might be easier to go PXE and run a network boot off some other box.
