Boot partition for slackware

Hi guys, I'm a newbie and I'm trying to install slackware linux in my box. Do you know if is it possible to build a boot partition for slackware ?, as far as I am concerned slackware's default installation uses a root and a swap partitions.

I've heard that if someone wants to install many linux flavors in a box he would need a boot partition in order to hold all the kernels of the installed distros. Is that right? (don't worry i'm not cheating on slackware..)

Thanks in advance

Yes it is - you can mount /boot on a seperate partition if you like - as per any directory.

I think the point about a boot partition is for the kernels of different distro's is that it makes setting your boat loader easier and makes it easier to manage. Especially if you keep removing/adding partitions a lot. as the disto that is actually installing the lilo/grub will have to know about and mount the other distos /boot directory.... making a bit of a mess. So it does make sense, but isn't essential.......

if that makes sense.......
