Bluetooth headphone problems

After sitting on a perfectly good pair of wired headphones, I decided to buy a bluetooth stereo headphone to replace the broken ones. I'm having problems with Blueman. There are seven devices listed as soon as Blueman opens. I do not think these devices actually exist, as they do not show up on my phone or tablet, & I cannot get rid of them.
Question 1: How do I delete these ghost devices?
I cannot get Blueman to recognize the headphones. It will see & pair with my phone & a nearby computer, but it never sees the headphones. I imagine there is some configuration file I need to modify, but I have no clue which one or what needs to be in it.
Question 2: How do I get the headphones to pair with Blueman?
Note: The headphones pair & work very well with both my phone & tablet, so they are working.
Regards,
Bill

My Logitech H800 headset paired with Blueman with no problem. What did you try to do with Blueman?

Hello, Richard. Fortunately, I was just coming back to mark this "Solved". I think the problem was mostly PEBCAK, but I did use some of the instructions in Bluetooth A2DP Setup in Slackware 12.0. That got it working in VLC, which was my main aim. It doesn't work in Chromium, yet. I am more interested in the playoff games today than working with them. I'll get back to them later.
Regards,
Bill
