Blacklisted 13.37 aaa elflibs too late slackware14.0 upgrade needs them?
Was keeping Slackware 13.1 current and with upgrade to 14.0 I have message that 'shared libs' don't exist. Need to add 13.37 elflibs back.
Code:
uname -rCode:
/var/log/removed_packages displays:Some software was updated but not 'pango 1.28' I did manually remove stale files .conf file from modprobe.d Unable to use wget or curl because of missing shared libs. *"Can not open shared object file: No such file or directory" . I need to manually correct this please. Specifically how do I add the 13.37 aaa elflibs back? Since i'm not supposed to upgrade reinstall or upgrade them if I wanted to just stay with 14.0 stable as I was planning to for the new slackware version. lacklisted aaa_ elflibs too late. *Don't have /var/log/mount/slackware64/a/aaa_elflibs-13.37-X86_64-7.txz Or is this a command line I can use to add aaa_elflibs back??? Found this using pkgtoo to read contents of package??? I have looked at similar threads and going through slackdocs and upgrade.txt, changes & hints. Thanks |
@NightSky, boot from install CD/DVD/USB, mount your system root and install required aaa_elflibs package(or any other) there(download it from nearest mirror) using command
installpkg --root /mount/root/path aaa_elflibs-13.37-*.t?z |

This sounds like an incomplete upgrade. There is nothing wrong with having aaa_elflibs at version 14.0 if that is the version of slackware you intend to run. Please read the changes and hints for 13.2, 13.37 and 14.0 for hints what could be wrong. Don't downgrade aaa_elflibs!
