best xfce native library music player?
 

I am using Clementine currently.
It's pretty cool.

However, I'd wish it'd look similar to Banshee.

I am contemplating on using Banshee or Rhythmbox.
I don't want to jump in just yet as they are Gnome native and the last time I used Banshee it fired up my CPU to 100% and did absolutely nothing.

Clementine is great but the user interface isn't like Banshee.

Got anything similar in mind or a way to make Clementine as easy to use? The lighter would be better. Don't need plugin support anyways.

Whenever I don't use mpd/ncmpcpp, I use it.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by 'xfce native'.

I use deadbeef myself (also on KDE). You might be able to mod the appearance of deadbeef to make it more like banshee. I've never tried to do that, I've got deadebeef modded to look as much like my old foobar2000 setup as possible.

Banshee has made a lot of progress over the last months and works very stable for me.

There is no player that is as feature-rich as Banshee. I tried Rhythmbox, but its not the same.

Clementine is a joke compared to the functions Banshee has. You should stick with it, even if it has thousands of dependencies.

Yeah, I mean that by XFCE native. Something that can run a little light on XFCE.

We have already audacious in Slackware. As I'm aware it does not require additional dependencies, except audacious plugins.

I use audacious for quick playing back some tunes, but for music manager I like Goggles Music Manager. It uses the fox toolkit and is super light on resources. You can grab it from SlackBuilds.org. I've heard some good stuff for gmusicbrowser (Xubuntu's default music manager), but haven't tried it myself. Again, SlackBuilds.org is your friend.

Have you tried parole? It's on the recommended list at the XFCE website.

I use xmms in XFCE but I'm not sure if it fits as a library.

LOL at myself was running a 0.3 version!

I installed the current version and it is quite an upgrade!

Given that it plays songs with a click. I don't mind the playlist style.

It's worth it.

you were using Clementine version 0.3? well, sure they have had some progress since then ;)

btw, what did you mean by "xfce native"? Clementine is a QT4 application and if you want your QT4 programs to inherit your GTK settings, check this post by alienbob:
