Best bug tracker for Slackware 13.1 server?

I run a 13.1 server for SVN and I want to include a bug tracker.

I have tried Trac but I cannot get it to work, following instructions (I have all deps installed) and any decent tutorial I can find involves the insecure, obsolete mod_python.

I have also tried Mantis (Which I would actually prefer) but there seems to be a constant MySQL user create error at the installation stage which has remained constant over the 4 test machines (different distros).

Has anyone gotten any of these two working on Slack?

Thanks

I can't see any specific reason trac would not work fine just because of slackware. Generally, if your distro choice matters then it's either a crappy distro or software... If you post errors we can have a look. I use trac, but did like the look of redmine a lot too.

you can also launch the trac daemon as standalone on an unprivileged localhost port and redirect the connection to it with your webserver's mod-proxy.
