Hello,
I have tried UnixBench on my new system : i7-6700K with 16 Go DDR4 3000.
Here is a test with a similar system :

I remark that my system is better with numerical computations (Double-Precision Whetstone) : about 20% better
But in some other tests the other system is much better : Shell Scripts (16 concurrent), almost 3 times better.
I would like to know where this comes from : kernel options, hardware ?
This is only to know why, I don't see any consequence of this in real life.

Interesting tests, Toutatis.
Doesn't Ubuntu ( and Debian-based Systems ) by default link /bin/sh to /bin/dash ?
Slackware and other Linux Flavors link /bin/sh to /bin/bash so you may be comparing apples ( bash ) and oranges ( dash ).

EDIT: p.s. I had forgotten all about byte-unixbench ... running it now on my i7-6700K Machine

I have an I7 6700K Laptop.
Don't recall my memory specs offhand ...
Below are sdiff listings of `unixbench` on my Laptop while running KDE ( LH-Side ) vs a runlevel 3 commandline ( RH-Side )
Didn't compare line-by-line but at a glance, yours looks better than mine
From what I've read, dash is more efficient for POSIX scripting so the shell tests may be due to that.
You might find this one fun too:
https://slackbuilds.org/repository/1...earch=phoronix
It may be more up-to-date than the venerable Byte UnixBench Program.
