Beautiful Non-AA "Crisp" Fonts in Programs run within Wine

There are several great threads about improving font rendering in slackware, for example:

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...ighlight=fonts

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...ighlight=fonts.

I have my Slackware PCs configured to get 'Beautiful Crisp Non-AA' fonts, which works great for most software but seems to fail whenever I run a program under wine. A good example is Firefox although I realise that it doesn't need to be run within Wine of course.

I have done the obvious things like putting the Truetype fonts in the appropriate Wine directory but cannot seem to solve this one.

Any experiences or suggestions.

Thanks,

Bill.
