backup a kernel to a bootable CD?

Ive just completed my first successfull all around working kernel with the new 2.6.9 otherwise I am running slack10, nothing from current. I am curious as to what I need-as far as what files-to create a bootable backup cd of the kernel.
Thank you

A little hint on that...

The text on the CD has you make an iso using mkisofs with about 10 switches...
Make sure you use the Linux version of mkisofs and not the WIndows version

I figured Id kill 2 birds with one stone at work and build a bootable cd using a WinBlowz box here... No go. I never narrowed down exactly what switch doesnt work in the Windows version.. Or it could be that Windows likes to capitalize the first letters of directories on its own... Not sure. Good luck to ya tho....

The linux version worked fine tho.
