Background Thread Problem In Slack 10

My university forces us to use a program for accessin the network... They do this for controlling machines that have viruses which kills the network by pinging. They also have a linux version of it but when i use it in my machine, it loads itself to background. It stays as a background process for a while but later it is terminated unexpectedly. I was unable to figure out why and asked my computer center masters. They told me that they had tested this in a mandrake system and it worked well.

Well, i had nothin to say and i wrote a bash script to come over to this. It sleeps for 20 seconds and executes the command in background again but what i noticed is my bash script is closed unexpectedly. Is there a system in slackware 10 that kill background processes according to some rules that it is given? I have no idea about this.

If someone have any idea related to this, i would be great if he sheares with me.

Thanks.
