Anyone here play backgammon? Specifically I would like a tutorial if possible on how to install gnubg backgammon, also if anyone plays on fibs backgammon server do you use javafibs? If so how did you get that working?

Thanks,

Download the source code from here:
http://www.gnubg.org/index.php?itemid=25

Extract the tarball, cd into the new directory, run './configure', then 'make', then 'su' into root and run run 'make install'. Now, as regular user run 'gnubg'.

I suggest to use src2pkg to create a package, so you could uninstall anytime you want.
