Awesome window manager and Mplayer - Slackware 13.0

Hello! This is my first post here.

I have a problem with Mplayer under Awesome wm. Mplayer crashes when I turn to full screen mode. I tried with float and tiling mode but - same thing. I start Mplayer from terminal and I get an error: Segmentation fault.

Mplayer works fine under fluxbox, so it's problem with awesome.

Any idea?

Many of the really light window managers cannot handle full-screen apps.

Well, I guess xmonad is more 'awesome' than awesome window manager...

I don't use awesome anymore(the awesome slackbuilds for slackware 13 is severely outdated but I think this is because the new awesome3 would replace the stock slackware dependency) but when I did, videos were playing fine with mplayer.

Heheh, that's the good one

Switch7: yes, I know that there are some issues with dependencies, I read that on slackbuilds.org...
