is there any app out there (besides SlackUp, which isnt supported by the programmer anymore) that you can use to update your system, like redhat's Up2date?
You might want to look at a package called "autopkg" for Slack 8.1 and above. It uses the new package numbering system available starting with 8.1. Just do a search here on LQ for "autopkg" and you can read more info in the threads.
