Audacity and LAME: MP3 support?

Hi all,

I'm about to install Audacity from Slackbuilds.org. In reading the information that goes with it, I see that Twolame support can be built in, but there's no mention of LAME support.

Does Audacity, as built from Slackbuilds.org, support LAME and MP3 encoding?

Thank you,

-Drew

Drew -- I maintain the Audacity SlackBuild at SBo. There is no configure option for lame support in Audacity. If you install lame, however, you can encode and export after pointing Audacity to the lame libraries. There is a setting in the GUI preferences.

Similar steps are also needed for ffmpeg support, though compared to lame ffmpeg is needed on compile time as well.
