audacious-plugins-3.3.4-x Slackbuild compiling question
Greetings all,
I am a big audio fan on Slackware and my favorite listening program is audacious. I have compiled gst-plugins-bad and gst-plugins-ugly and libcue and perl-gstreamer with ALL of their optional dependencies. My next step is to uninstall the stock slackware audacious-plugins-3.34-x and (which I have done via pkgtool) and recompile the audacious plugins using a Slackbuild so it has all the correct plugins available ie: mp3 and m4a support. I found the following packages from this site on google: http://slackbuilds.org/mirror/slackw...cious-plugins/ audacious-plugins.SlackBuild audacious-plugins-3.3.4.tar.xz slack-desc I chmod +x audacious-plugins.SlackBuild and then: ./audacious-plugins.SlackBuild and recieve the following error: /usr/lib64/gcc/x86_64-slackware-linux/4.8.2/../../../../x86_64-slackware-linux/bin/ld: final link failed: Bad value collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status Failed to link ffaudio.so! make[5]: *** [ffaudio.so] Error 1 make[4]: *** [all] Error 2 make[3]: *** [subdirs] Error 2 make[2]: *** [all] Error 2 make[1]: *** [subdirs] Error 2 make: *** [all] Error 2 I am assuming this is an ffmpeg problem but don't know where to begin, please help |
Not sure about the version that you are compiling but audacious 3.5.1 compiles fine against the latest git FFmpeg on my system and the ffaudio plugin is built...

all I had to do...
I have dropline gnome installed. all I had to do was uninstall dropline's ffmpeg, install the audacious-plugins Slackbuild and sboinstall ffmpeg
