Alien Bob,

Sorry to post here, I cannot locate email address for you.

I'm very very new to RSS. Actually yours is my first time to be honest.

Can I use thunderbird to check your RSS, or should I use something else. Is the RSS feeds optimized for a certain application? Because I get multiple entries for the same changes. I copied the url from firefox, but I probably did something wrong. There really isn't much for me to change that I can see here, right clickie or otherwise, maybe I have my link wrong?

I'm using "http://www.slackware.com/~alien/dokuwiki/feed.php"

Sorry to be a pain :D

Ever looked at the bottom of the http://www.slackware.com/~alien/ page ...? :-)

About the feed URL - yes that is the correct one. I never actually configured a RSS reader to look at my own feed before, but I did now, and I am not seeing double entries (but then again, I don't have access to a Thunderbird so I am using something else).

Yes, TB is a good program for RSS feeds, I use it at home for that purpose.

Cheers, Eric

heheh, my age shows, I didn't realize the "at" part :D

I found that akregator is an RSS in KDE, I didnt know that, after an hour search..anyway. I tried that and no doubles, triples etc.

Maybe something wrong with my thunderbird.

I'm going to delete my home's thunderbird, un/re install thunderbird and try again.

thanks eric, I like the site so yeah I want to be 'in the know'

bye for now.
