ATI Radeon Xpress 200 (X200) in Slackware 11

Hello

I've tried to install the ATI driver following the instructions right here into my Slackware 11 box (even in Slackware 10.2) but does not work. If I use the Xorg "ati" or "radeon" driver the graphic mode starts and X11 runs, but the window is full of garbage (pixels of all colors but not any defined image), so I exit X11 and when return to console it gets back to another garbage pixeled window.

X11 starts because I hear the startup tune and the mouse moves, as a small sqare of garbage too, but X11 "works" since I can exit by CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE or CTRL-ALT-SUPR (in KDE) and in console am able to restart the computer by using "reboot", the system does not freeze.

If try the ATI propietary driver, get this error and exits to textmode console:

---------------------------------
Fatal server error:
Caught signal 11. Server aborting
---------------------------------

I've tried all modes, suggestions, faq, but it does not work, so I want to know if somebody has a "ATI Radeon Xpress 200 (X200)" video chipset. Specifically I have an Intel D101Ggc motherboard with integrated video, and want to know if it works under Slackware. Tried with Fedora and Ubuntu and it works, but want to use Slackware since all my work is based on it.

Thanks for any help!!!

If you did a search of this forum, your question is already asked and answered, many, many, many, many times.

Look at my DRI thread (It's a sticky now at the top of the forum). Huge ATI section there.
