Did it work on a previous kernel, as your post implies?

Please provide the output of lspci or lsusb as appropriate, and did you check to see if a module was loading? Is there a kernel module present for your ar8162? You might want to look for "alx.ko" or "atl1c.ko" for your kernel. Then try "modeprobe xxx" to see which one works.

Go and read the link that kingbeowulf posted and that you copied into your last post. You need the alx module. When you have done that, I might follow your links.
