At last got Linux (slackware)working.

Not really a question just a thank you to all the people who have answered questions on getting speedtouch adsl modems working on slackware.

I cant believe how much easier it was getting everything working using Slackware. I had tried previously on mandrake which was ok everything worked except i could not get the adsl modem going (well would work after setting up Benoit Papillault's linux speedtouch drivers but then after reboot failed again).

The learning curve will probably be a bit steep now (ive only really used winblows till now) but looking forward to experiencing linux and at least I have found a great place to get help when I get between that rock and a hard place.

Don't worry about slackware, mate!
It's really easy to use, I started up on it when I was about 13 and had been using Windows/DOS since I was 6, it isn't hard at all. The documentation out there for Linux really isn't good at all, but you'd find this forum a great resource for information, trust me.
