Has anyone one got akonadi to work under Slackware 13.0 x86_64 stable with 4.3.1 package? It's not really that critical to me but it bothers me that it doesn't work. I upgraded to the new mysql package under -current to get the innod inclusion peice. However I have still had no luck. I can generally get past the mysql stuff but akonadi has issues registering with d-bus.

KDE 4.3.2 has landed in current. Yay.

either using "slackpkg reinstall" or download the new packages from -current and "upgradepkg --install-new --reinstall" take care, |

Vincent,
Do the packages in -current contain the fix here for the problem with Regional and Language settings lock-up? Thanks, |

The three patches combined in one. |
Cool!

this new kde stuff (+dependencies) should go to slackware(64)-13.0/patches

The /patches directory of any Slackware release is for security fixes, not for software upgrades. You can always upgrade to slackware-current. Eric |

there was some xpdf security problem in the last time. http://www.h-online.com/open/news/it...ns-833449.html does this not effect any component of kde 4.2.1? (sorry for the trial, but I have currently somehow enough of doing system administration tasks, need time and concentration for my every day(real) work) |
I have slackware 13.0 installed, and don't want to upgrade to -current on this machine.
I just downloaded the 4.3.1 packages with Code:
wget -r -np -nd --accept=txz http://cardinal.lizella.net/~vbatts/kde/kde4-packages/4.3.1/x86/ My question is this: since I didn't install all the 4.2.4 KDE packages (ie: I don't use akonadi,PIM, GAMES or EDU) should I use Code:
upgradepkg --install-new *.t?z Code:
upgradepkg *.t?z |
use this command
Code:
upgradepkg --reinstall --install-new *.t?z |
