apache lists file

I have a quick question regarding apache. My apache server serves a list of files in htdocs and not the web page. When i configured it served the right index.html i wanted it to serve. Anybody has a quick fix while i'm googling the answer.

Thanks,
Tux

You should post your solutions if you find them yourself, so others with the same questions searching might find it useful.

But let me guess, you didn't have an index.html directive, or a index.html file in the root directory?

I am sorry, should have done that...I apologize. Actually I inserted commas between index.html directive. Should have done that as the docs mention the correct options...I just getting too fast and not reading enough...

Thanks for reminding me Trickykid
