Apache Error(403 Forbidden)


Running Slackware-Current,php-5.3.8
When I type localhost in browser and hit enter ,I am getting
"Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server."
Here's my httpd.conf

alright, so you're going to use /srv/httpd/htdocs as your Document Root. What about the access rights of that directory?

That's irrelevant, AFAIS. You're getting confused with your directories.

Assuming a mostly unadulterated Slackware system /var/www/htdocs is /srv/www/htdocs

What is odd though is the permissions on it :-

And still, deto86 has /srv/httpd/htdocs vs. /var/www/htdocs - are they still the same? Probably not.

First of all ,sorry guys I didn't checked out DocumentRoot .It supposed to be /var/www/htdocs.
So ,I changed it to
DocumentRoot "/var/www/htdocs"
and chmod 755 -R /var/www/htdocs
Still getting same error and is it ok to have ServerRoot "/usr"

If you changed docroot to var/www/htdocs, then you should also change
