apache config for mediawiki install on slackware 14.1
 

Hey all,

All references I've seen regarding howto configure MediaWiki (www.mediawiki.org) on Slackware starts with instructions to add the new directory in the "IfModule mod_alias.c" section of Apache config file.

However, in my distribution of Slackware (14.1) I don't have that section in my Apache config file.

My usual method when this happens is to just "put it anywhere" but I thought I'd ask here first.

Curious about the final step in stabilizing the mediawiki on my system; the software page's instructions look like this:

"Loading The Dump"

Unzip the dump by typing: bunzip2 20031231_cur_table.sql.bz2 (this will take a while depending on the size of the dump and the speed of your workstation).
Import the dump in your database by starting a mysql session as above, if you have not done so, loading the wiki database (the name as you gave above), by typing: use <wiki db> and then importing the data by typing: source /path/20031231_cur_table.sql. This will also take a long time.

At this point you should have a working install with some data in it.

However, I don't have the dump file in question, and can't find it anywhere. It shouldn't really matter, as long as I can find one like it.

I have never installed a mediawiki, so I don't know why you need an older databse dump.
Anyway from the instructions you have to go here to get the dump you want
