Having seen some lovely videos of 3d accelerated desktops, complete with OpenGL and video playback in them, I'd like to get it going on my slack box too.
Has anyone done this? What would be the steps involved... I'd rather not break my nice KDE desktop if possible ;-)
lazydragon is a (Big) Slackware-based distro which include Xgl/compiz.
I'm not exactly sure how Catman managed to pack Xgl, but you could ask him. You can send him an email via the "Contact Us" section in the LazyD. web page or in the "Old Front Page" appears his e-mail.

Hmm.. not heard of that one. The homepage is scant on details too unfortunately.. Yeah he must have knuckled down and got modular X installed I'm guessing
