Can somebody please post a review of slack 10 in the reviews section. So keen to download it but if it sucks I am not wasting my precious dialup bandwidth.
Would appreciate that I was also planning to buy the CDs to support the community and all that. But being down here in Africa it will take a month or two to arrive so I will download it in the mean time. If it sucks I don't want to waste my time and would rather wait until the CDs get here.
I've d/led but haven't installed yet. My ADSL isn't the greatest, but with dialup and the heavy load on the servers for Slack right now, you might be quicker buying them. Just remember, all that glitters is not gold - and read all the posts that are showing up. It's basically 2.4.26 rather than 2.4.22 and some upgraded apps from Patrick Volkerding. If you keep your Slack system current with the apps you use, you'll probably not really get anything different - and some of the stuff won't be as new. For instance, the FluxBox I saw on the CD is still 0.1.14 - if I'm not mistaken.
Well I added it to the product list in slackware a few days ago, but haven't had a chance to write a full review. Figured i'd let someone else do it since i've already added it
