Anybody good with Firestarter?

Hi
i just installed firestarter and during the wizard setup everything seems fine, i input the device as eth0 and that my IP is assigned via DHCP wich is all correct i disable public access to all services, TOS is disabled and ICMP is disabled, so i save it and i get the error
"No DHCP client configuration found"
"the firewall will not load automatically on a lease renewal. Please make sure the external interface is configured properly or deselect
the DHCP option if you are using static IP"
NOw after that error firestarter GUI comes up and at the bottom it says firewall is running, but when i try to halt network traffic (to see if it stops
my connection) i get this error "Failed to enter halted firewall mode. there was an undetermined error when trying to halt network traffic"

does anybody know whats up..im on slack 9.0 with Gnome
