Another couple of questions about compat32, kernel cpuinfo.....

I am using slack 13.37 x64

First i compiled kernel 2.6.38.4 and all is well, but under kinfocenter I cannot see my cpu info anymore its nothing big it just a little annoying. Is there any work around or is just a feature

Second question, I have not installed the 32bit compatibility libs just yet but could I just install the libraries and binaries without installing the all the GCC stuff as I have no plans on compiling 32bit packages at all.

Thanks for reading....

I always use custom kernel, but kinfocenter always find my kernel correctly. What config did you use to build the kernel?

Same for me with the stock 13.37 kernel, but it seems to be a kinfocenter problem instead of a kernel one. /proc/cpuinfo has all the right information. Not sure why kinfocenter can't/isn't using it.
