amarok skips sound on audio cds

I'm currently running slackware 12.0. When I try to play an audio cd with amarok the sound skips. Its like on and off type of thing. The audio CD plays fine with Adacious, Xine, Mplayer and VLC. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi warpman, Try configuring your engine with some different options, output plugins, etc.
