amarok problem


i just complied amarok and everything went fine. Then when i ever amarok starts up it loads up then just closes by itself. Any ideas why is closeing down by itself?

hi,

what desktop environment / window manager are you using?

i've got amaroK running on KDE, and on first start-up it minimises itself to the system tray - you have to click on the amaroK icon to open it up...

check what processes are running after you start amaroK - there should be an instance of 'amarokapp'.

Kde 3.3 and no it doesnt go into the sytem tray it just closes all by inself.

Strange.

I'm at a loss then... if you run from a console, are any messages displayed? is an amarok process started?
