amarok doesn't work in slackware-current

Hello everyone. I'm now using Slackware-current. I install amarok2.5.0 through slackpkg. But I can't play songs from amarok, the following is the output of amarok when I launch amarok and try to play one song:
Quote:

Amarok is already running!

However, when I play songs using mplayer, it's ok.
Please give me some tips to sovle the problem. Thanks anyway.

What happens if you start Amarok again?
Here (on Slackware-current but with my own KDE 4.8.3) Amarok would crash the first time but works the second time I started it.

Try changing the Phonon backend. I had to install the GStreamer backend to get Amarok working properly. There is a thread or two on the Slackware LQ about this issue.

When I start Amarok again, the problem is still existing. The following is the output:

KGlobal::locale::Warning your global KLocale is being recreated with a valid main component instead of a fake component, this usually means you tried to call i18n related functions before your main component was created. You should not do that since it most likely will not work

I'm now using openbox3.4.11。I tried to use KDE4.8.2 some days ago,but it crashed some times. I feel that KDE4.8.2 is not stable.

I just reinstalled phonon-gstreamer-4.6.0-i486-1 and gstreamer-0.10.32-i486-1,but it doesn't solve the problem of amarok.
I will search the related threads. Thank you for tips :)

You might also want to try the mplayer or vlc backends if you haven't already. Also, I have the following gstreamer packages installed:
Code:

gst-plugins-bad-0.10.21-x86_64-1alien
gst-plugins-base-0.10.32-x86_64-1
gst-plugins-good-0.10.28-x86_64-2
gst-plugins-ugly-0.10.18-x86_64-1_SBo

Wow! After I installed gst-plugins-bad-0.10.21-x86_64-1alien and gst-plugins-ugly-0.10.18-x86_64-1_SBo from slackbuilds.org,amarok can play songs!
Thank you very much :)

Hi everyone, thanks for tips.
I'm using Slackware64 14.0 and I can confirm that amarok doesn't works out of the box.
I use sbopkg for installing additional packages.
Until the installation of only gst-plugins-ugly from there, amarok works.
