Alsamixer does not save the unmuted selection

Hi there

When I start Slack wih KDE, the sound starts mute i have to run alsamixer to unmuted that and I want to save the settings ofr sound at the benining.

Any idea.?

after you unmuted sound , did you run " alsactl store " ?
if not, do so.
that will store your current settings.

Thanks a lot, but the doubts still remains... the fect is that recently change the hardware (board and processor) and when I had installed slack I ran alsaconf and it saved the sound setting, why this time didn't work ?

KDE stores it's own mixer settings, you can disable KDE to do that on the control panel (or whatever is called) and they won't "override" alsa settings.
