It is irrelevant. If you have the alsa module compiled into your kernel, the Slackware alsa-driver module will not load. Save yourself the diskspace and don't install it.

I think that's needed for touchpads also ... i'm not at a linux box the touchpad drivers wants something like 'evdev' i think thats the one you listed, just an FYI really dont really apply I guess bye for now.
