ALSA and RealTek ALC202 and MIDI problems

Using Slackware 10.

Hello, when I try to play MIDI files (outside of TiMidity and in games for example) I get no music. All other sound is working just fine. How do I fix this? Thank you.

Output for '/sbin/modprobe -l | grep midi':

--------------------------------------------------------
/lib/modules/2.4.26/kernel/drivers/sound/v_midi.o.gz
/lib/modules/2.4.26/kernel/drivers/usb/usb-midi.o.gz
/lib/modules/2.4.26/kernel/sound/acore/seq/snd-seq-midi-emul.o.gz
/lib/modules/2.4.26/kernel/sound/acore/seq/snd-seq-midi-event.o.gz
/lib/modules/2.4.26/kernel/sound/acore/seq/snd-seq-midi.o.gz
/lib/modules/2.4.26/kernel/sound/acore/seq/snd-seq-virmidi.o.gz
/lib/modules/2.4.26/kernel/sound/acore/snd-rawmidi.o.gz
/lib/modules/2.4.26/kernel/sound/drivers/snd-serialmidi.o.gz
/lib/modules/2.4.26/kernel/sound/drivers/snd-virmidi.o.gz
--------------------------------------------------------

And output for 'lsmod | grep midi':

snd-rawmidi 12740 0 [snd-mpu401-uart]
snd-seq-device 3888 0 [snd-rawmidi]
snd 30852 1 [snd-pcm-oss snd-mixer-oss snd-intel8x0 snd-ac97-codec snd-pcm snd-timer snd-mpu401-uart snd-rawmidi snd-seq-device]
-------------------------------------------------------

Some games will complain that a '/dev/sequencer' is not found.

You see all modules that begin by : snd-seq-midi from modprobe -l ?

I would try to load them and see if it change something :
/sbin/modprobe snd-seq-midi-midi
/sbin/modprobe snd-seq-midi-emul
...

You may try :
mknod -m 666 /dev/sequencer c 14 1

to create the /dev/sequencer device

The games I try keep saying that either it can't open /dev/sequencer or that it doesn't exist. Any other possible solutions? I do in fact have a /dev/sequencer, though. Thank you.

try modprobe the midi modules, then run alsaconf and let it discover your midi modules, if it works you may have to add them in /etc/rc.modules to load them at boot. If it fails, you may have to edit /etc/modules.conf and set some alias to midi modules.
