alpine-2.0 compilation error after GSB-3.20 installation

Dear all,
Hello

I have downloaded gsb-3.2_slackware-13.37 and installed it on Slackware 13.37
(both full and fresh). What I have done are:

### Added the followings to /etc/slapt-get/slapt-getrc
# Source of Slackware on local hard disk.
SOURCE=file:///iso/slack/:OFFICIAL
# Source of GSB on local hard disk.
SOURCE=file:///ext3/ed4_a/GSB-3.2/gsb-3.2_slackware-13.37/:CUSTOM

$ slapt-get --update
$ slapt-get --available | awk {'print $1'} | grep "gsb$" | grep -v l10n | xargs slapt-get --install -y
$ [ -x /etc/rc.d/rc.avahidaemon ] || chmod +x /etc/rc.d/rc.avahidaemon
$ [ -x /etc/rc.d/rc.networkmanager ] || chmod +x /etc/rc.d/rc.networkmanager

# Rebooted the system

Although before installing GSB I could compile alpine-2.0, now
after configuring alpine-2.0 with the command:

CFLAGS="-O2 -march=i486 -mtune=i686" \
./configure \
--prefix=/usr/local \
--exec-prefix=/usr/local \
--mandir=/usr/local/man \
--with-passfile=/home/non-root/.pine.pwd \
--with-ssl-dir=/usr \
--with-ssl-include-dir=/usr/include/openssl \
--with-ssl-lib-dir=/usr/lib \
--with-ssl-certs-dir=/etc/ssl/certs \
--with-c-client-target=slx \
--with-system-pinerc=/etc/pine.conf \
--with-system-fixed-pinerc=/etc/pine.conf.fixed \
--disable-debug \
--with-debug-level=0 \
--without-tcl \
--program-prefix= \
--program-suffix= \
--build=i686-slackware-linux

the command `make EXTRACFLAGS="-fPIC" SSLTYPE=unix' fails with the
message: {{{

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
Please let me know if any more information (especially the full
log file) is needed.

Thanks - Hossein
