Alienbob's Multilib Files.
First and foremost, information and instructions on how to install and use alienbob's multilib files,
http://www.slackware.com/~alien/multilib/ Periodically, as needed, alienbob is kind enough to take the time to update his multilib files. His change log can be found here, http://www.slackware.com/~alien/multilib/ChangeLog.txt Once the mirrors have updated I have found the UK site to be much faster, http://slackware.uk/people/alien/multilib/ |
Also, one should note, you can just download the main files (aaa-glibc-solib, glib-*, gcc-* and compat32-tools) per the instructions and then create your own set of 'slackware64-compat32/*' via 'massconvert32.sh' from a local 32-bit copy of Slackware. This will save a bit of bandwidth for the these unpaid volunteers.

Alienbob has built new glibc packages and refreshed the compat32 packages.
A link to the change log can be found in message #1, above. |
Those are the corrected glibc packages, not the rebuilt ones from tonight with the clone3 change.

Does multilib packages slow down anyone else on their computers?

Not here either. I only need it for one program anyway.

What is going to happen when AlienBob dies or is called back to his home planet (thus causing his work to take x amount of light years to reach us)?
