Looks to me like one to ride the river with. He'd be the one to shout "Damn that was fun - let's do it again!".

Wow, cool thread.

I'm sure Eric/Alien_Bob can defend himself if he feels the need, so I'm out.

Egads! Horsemeat has been found in Ikea Swedish meatballs. What's next? The wooden clothes horse bought from Ikea, and lovingly-assembled, is made with woodpecker?

If you stare at Eric's pic for too long, a sock will go missing from your dryer, and re-appear in the closet as a coat hanger.

Never question the inner-workings of the church of the sub-genius.

Praise Bob.

Horses are perfectly etible. It could have been worse ... it could have been dog meat. They keep blaming Eastern Europe, but the horses here hardly have any meat on their bones. No, it's doggies that are plentiful here. Truckloads of friendly doggies (may have rabies ... in fact 99% sure they do).

Aren't dogs eaten in certain parts of Asia?

There was a report on the radio the other day saying that dog meat had been found in tins of "Dog Meat" in Spain. I guess you can't complain about mislabelling there. it's exactly what it says on the tin.

Actually they are a delicacy in parts of Vietnam and maybe Korea.

Horse meat is good! So is dog meat and monkey meat (Phillipines '80 USN).

I think the real question the OP should have asked was - Was the dog or horse you're eating a real criminal?
