I was installed linux on PC a while ago. When installed, I were using monitor that have capability 1200+. Everything looks fine and the boot are fine too. After that i installed the application. The next installation is nothing to do with my question. After Install and then restart more than 4times, everything was normal.
But this PC/Linux then use in another place (not in my office). In that place, he using LCD to open the Linux. But when startup, after choose OS (LILO), the display gone and the LCD give warning "Out of Range" The boot are still operating, but i can't see a things or two because this LCD. Because of that, I using old monitor again. Is there a way or link to fix this problem. I tried to edit /etc/lilo.cfg but nothing happen. Please.. i don't wanna installed again, is wasting of energy and times sry.. english is not my primary languages |
At the command line as root try running:
# xorgsetup The CRT monitor has different specifications than a LCD monitor. xorgsetup will modify your xorg.conf file so you can use the LCD monitor. You can also modify xorg.conf with # xorgconfig http://www.slackbook.org/html/x-window-system.html |

Hi,
Post your '/etc/lilo.conf' file to see the video configuration for the monitor. You could set in the Global section the 'vga = normal' variable until you can setup for the 'LCD' configurations. Be sure to run the 'lilo' command as root after configuring the '/etc/lilo.conf'. |
