adding symbolic links to uxfs

I have finally go the uxfs working on the 2.4.18 kernel with slack8 .... however i have a task to enable symlinks ..... i have looked through the source code, but cannot understand how the fs translates things like rm to delete or the create file to the uxfs code to actually carry out the command

basically i dont know how to capture the ln -s command so that i can then excecute some code based on it ...

OK i have managed to find what i needed, however i cannot find how the symlink is structured.

What does the symlinks inode look like ???

and what does it contain

Many thanks and any links you could post to help me out with this would be greatly appreciated

My inode structure is like this :

struct ux_inode {
__u32 i_mode;
__u32 i_nlink;
__u32 i_atime;
__u32 i_mtime;
__u32 i_ctime;
__s32 i_uid;
__s32 i_gid;
__u32 i_size;
__u32 i_blocks;
__u32 i_addr[UX_DIRECT_BLOCKS];

}

I know that a symlink contains an inode number for the hard linking.

So if i create an inode for my symbolic link where would i place the inode number ?

Many Thanks
