I'm new in linux world but I have used SuSE9.0 I would like to use Slackware 9.1 & I'm downloading the iso image from the FTP address above in the subject, is the first CD bootable or should I create bootable floopy disk and thak you :-)

First cd is bootable, you only need to create a boot disk if your computer can't boot from cd-rom. There's also a live-cd for trying out.

What the difference between Live, and the downloaded version (bootable CD) i also new and trying to understand. :study:
