skog Member Registered: Sep 2003 Location: TX Distribution: slackware Posts: 301 Rep:	if you use alsa you wont need esd. alsa does that for you. check the alsa page for driver info ... http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc/ maybe the driver is almost the same but for a different revision or something also make sure you check by chipset not model name. if one works and the other doesnt, use it.
