I've got the exact same problem. I bought an IBM IntelliStation Z Pro with a Wildcat4 7110 and can't get it to work on anything newer than Redhat 9. The software I need to run requires newer packages than I can put on RH9/RHEL3.

Did you ever find a solution to put a less arcane version of Linux with the card?

Did you ever get DRI to work under the Wildcat? Also the colors on the screen are odd, most of them are correct, but some are radically different. Pictures of people come out with light to dark blue skin and with Hyperlinks on HTML pages, they come out dark red instead of the usual dark blue.

My brother is letting me borrow a GEFORCE4 TI 4200 64 MB card that's AGP 8X. It's nowhere near the rated power of the wildcat, but it has drivers that are known to work under Linux. It's such a shame, the Wildcat series is known for having performance two generations ahead of most consumer level cards and beat out the competing WorkStation cards handily. I'll bet an NVIDIA GEFORCE 7900GS would beat it though...
