How can I get my 3d car dto use the 3d acceleration in X? I remember playing a games called Chromium when I had mandrake installed, and it ran great, but now with Slack it hardly runs at all. Any ideas?

Depending on your video card, you will either have to install Mesa OpenGL drivers or if you have a Nvidia, their binary drivers. Then it should run fine.

Well, i heard that recently ati has released linux binary drivers for some radeons for Linux. Check out their site, and if you want search the forums, i'm sure somebody already asked this.
