14.1 Media Has Arrived!
 

USA New York, dvd in mailbox when I returned home this evening.
It will take it's proud place on my bookshelf with the others!

As will mine.

Picked up my DVD on Saturday at the Post Office. NICE small mailer...hopefully saves Pat and the gang some shipping costs.

The CD set was picked up today, and shipped in same ole Priority Mail box. I'm impressed with the improved CD case. No broken tabs and all the discs were securely held in place. I quickly re-arranged the cd order to 5-1-2-3-4-6, since I don't access the source CD's often.

Now to decide which of my systems I want to upgrade! :)

Canada post delivered mine on Monday, the 25th. Nice packing. Mine is the 2 sided DVD.

Yuk, mine had styrofoam peanuts in it. Not a lot, but still, nobody else uses those anymore. CDs being nearly indestructible (the 6-CD case will break way before the CDs), I think it is unnecessary, and eco-unfriendly.

Mine is still setting in the package it arrived in. Considering how rarely I upgrade software, it may be two or three years before I even open it. Then again, maybe I'll change my habits and do the upgrade before the end of this year. Ah... decisions, decisions.

Just got the package today.

This is a nice change from back when they would always take a month, then arrived with "opened by customs" stickers on them.

I got my SLack 14.1 DVD last week and will add it my Slackware collection.

I'm running Current, so I probably won't use the media, but it's a way of supporting Slack.

I've taken to donating my old ones to the local Disabled Vets thrift store in the hope that I can spread the word and that some incipient geek decides to give it a try.

My 14.1 DVD arrived today. Woo hoo! :)

Got mine last week. Just got around to upgrading the systems over the weekend. Praise new shiny Slackware! Praise Bob!
