13.37 system or wine problem

I'm using a slack 13.37 version and this message is occuring during wine apps running:

preloader: Warning: failed to reserve range 00010000-00110000

Instead of being only a warning, I think it's breaking down and don't know exactly it's a wine or OS problem.

Googling point me a wine problem,

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...ilable-855667/

and another Ubuntu and Wine topics .

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=770262

http://wiki.winehq.org/PreloaderPageZeroProblem

But I'm in a 32bits option ( no multilibs ), my wine, dependencies packages and procedures are the same installed before in 13.1 . Just system was changed! Anyone have any info on that sytem or wine problem?

I have already seen this threard before. Thanks, but I also afraid about root security. Do you think about another way to solve it?

I only had that problem with dosemu. I just created a script that set sysctl vm.mmap_min_addr=0, ran dosemu, and then set it back once dosemu was done. I never had the program open for very long so I wasn't overly concerned about it.

I'm reading marnold and cwizardone credits and seeing a 64bits OS. In yours case, it could be a multilibs trouble isn't it? So I using a 32bits system.

you can try set it to 4096 and not to 0, this way should be safe enough and wine should work, I think.
Code:
sysctl vm.mmap_min_addr=4096

I`m looking for a solution yet and trying another way. I noticed a EE in /var/log/Xorg.0.log and during nvidia install I` ve got difficulties to remove nouveau driver, use nvidia and xorg.conf. It`s ocurred, in spite of using a slackpkg blacklist nouveau.

45.546] (EE) HID 04f3:0103: failed to initialize for relative axes

Can it result in that problem too?

messages for a whole host of wine apps including wine's version of explorer, which only show up when running as a non-root user.
thanks for the fix. It makes me wonder what the default value for vm.mmap_min_addr is on a standard full install of slackware 13.37 (32bit)

you know what? I'm an arsehole.
I read about it a little more and it seems the first memory page ends at 64k, so 4096 it's still unsafe, sorry to have given a wrong information.

Totally wrong. Please read again this page.
It's mostly meaningful if you're trying to run DOS-based/WIN16 applications, where the first pages contain DOS calls. Otherwise you should safely ignore it.

Unrelated with wine preloader message. That error seems to refer to a HID device (possibly a mouse or a gamepad, as the message relates to some relative axes).
