13.1 Beta1 :: KDE SC 4.4.3 :: pm-hibernate works, KDE hibernate just locks the screen

As per topic.

Want to first confirm if this is the same for anyone else, then discover the cause if so.

pm-hibernate successfully hibernates the machine, and resumes from it too. However, when asking KDE to initiate the hibernation it just locks the screen and nothing else.

Am I missing a config option somewhere to point it at pm-hibernate, or is it trying that by default and just failing?

Both are working here.

I'm pretty sure it uses pm-hibernate by default, because it runs the hooks script I put in /etc/pm/sleep.d

Hm...

do you press "hardware" button, close lid, or use kde menu to choose hibernation? It works fine here.

If you press button and expect computer to hibernate, check guidance-power settings which could affect the behavior.

I'm talking about choosing hibernation from the KDE menu.

In case that doesn't work, you can always check: /var/log/pm-suspend.log
