I've done one install of 12.1 and it went smooth as silk:-) I love the new black lilo prompt, very cool indeed! Finishing up my second install now. Wonderful:-)
Downloading now (first time I've used bittorrent - still a newbie where a lot of things are concerned). Will still send off money order for subscription.

I hope that Pat, Robby, Eric, Roberto and all other contributors are feeling justifiably proud. I have been tracking -current and this snapshot offers many great new features and is certainly far more than a 0.1 increment.
From the release announcement-

a great decorative item perfect for any computer room shelf. :-)
I look forward to a shiny new 12.1 DVD to join the 12.0 DVD still in it's cellophane wrapper courtesy of subscription. (Slack is great, but I am not, so most likely will need it one day.)
Please don't be a bludger, but rather support this longest lasting, stable and delightful distribution.
Thank you Patrick Volkerding and Crew for your great work!
Wow, impressive -- already up. (I don't have time to install right now so I'll continue downloading/seeding via Bit Torrent, but I'm impressed that they managed to host the ISOs so soon)
It's worth noting that those who upgrade instead of installing fresh should run `liloconfig` as root to get the snazzy new splash screen (or you can manually edit lilo.conf -- but you have to know what to add). I have -current running in a VM and I didn't even know about the splash screen because I just edited my lilo.conf and ran lilo manually (as if I were simply changing kernels), and just found out after hearing this. After running liloconfig it's all snazzy and such.
I'm sure it's in the ChangeLog somewhere and I just missed it -- but oh well.
