[Slackware 13.0]Cryptsetup problem with encrypted home partition

Hello guys, just finished installing slackware 13.0 but im having some problems with cryptsetup.

After lilo starts loading the kernel and when it asks me the password to my encrypted partition, it just keeps asking even though im entering the correct password... If i hit Ctrl+C and login then i'm able to mount it.
Why it doesn't accept my password while booting the system i don't know.
Maybe because it asks the password before setting the correct keyboard layout??
Im in Portugal btw.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

EDIT: If i write:
Code:

cryptsetup luksOpen /dev/sda2 crypthome
mount /dev/mapper/crypthome /home

in rc.local it works perfectly.

But I would still like it to work via the usual way .
I'm pretty sure this is because of the keyboard layout.
Using rc.local as shown above, it asks me the password after the message
Quote:

loading /usr/share/kbd/keymaps/i386/qwerty/pt-latin1.map.gz
and not before.

Maybe its related to http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...faults-728159/

Are you using an initrd.gz file? If so, you can set the keyboard layout to load (for me e. g. "-l de"). I think this should work for you.

Oh right, titopoquito's answer is probably much more helpful
