Unhappy Vsftp

ok i need some help . im running VSFTP and i want users to log in .. and i want then to only have access to the directory /mnt/raid/serve and sub-directories.. i set the home dir for the users to /mnt/raid/server .. the problem im having is that the users can get out of that dir and get into my root dir..

I tried denying access to the users in the raid folder and allowing access in the server folder but then I cant log in at all ..

you need to set their home to /mnt/raid/./server in order to chroot them there. I'm still trying to figure out whether you need to enable chrooting tho, and how the heck to find their mailbox and private root and access their web directory all at once, without needing to set them up as three different users...
