I've tried to install the following rmp. It said it existed, so I tried to unistall it. I was told it dodn't exist. Any Idea's about how to get rid of it (to reinstall)?
Code:
[root@p15135644 root]# rpm -e --quiet xshared-4.1.0-10.i386.rpm
error: package xshared-4.1.0-10.i386.rpm is not installed
[root@p15135644 root]# rpm -i --quiet xshared-4.1.0-10.i386.rpm
package xshared-4.1.0-10 is already installed
[root@p15135644 root]# rpm -U --quiet xshared-4.1.0-10.i386.rpm
package xshared-4.1.0-10 is already installed
Cheers,
Steve.

btw. this happens because there is a difference between a file and a package, as you can see there xshared-4.1.0-10.i386.rpm is the file name but xshared-4.1.0-10 is the package name. xshared-4.1.0 should also be valid, as should just "xshared".
